La nuova banca dati sostanze chimiche dell'Istituto Superiore di Sanità

La banca dati, oltre ai dati identificativi delle sostanze, riporta la nuova classificazione stabilita dal regolamento 1272/2008, il nuovo regolamento europeo per la classificazione ed etichettatura delle sostanze denominato CLP, che entrerà in vigore definitivamente il  1 dicembre 2010 per le sostanze chimiche e il 1 giugno 2015 per le miscele. Il nuovo Regolamento sostituirà il sistema di classificazione regolato dalla Direttiva CEE 67/548.
Nella banca dati sono presenti entrambi i sistemi di classificazione. Tutte le sostanze classificate fino ad ora sono incluse nell’Allegato VI del regolamento CLP. La Comunità Europea ha già emanato il I ATP (Aggiornamento al Progresso Tecnico Scientifico), anch’esso incluso nella banca dati. Sono presenti le sostanze comprese nelle due liste EINECS  (Existing INventory of Existing Commercial Chemical Substances)  e ELINCS (European List of Notified Chemical Substances).

It covers all the substances included in the EINECS (Existing INventory of Existing Commercial Chemical Substances) and ELINCS (European List of Notified Chemical Substances) lists.
The databank includes, besides the chemicals identification, the new classification and labelling data provided by Regulation 1272/2008, the new European Union Regulation called CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging), which will enter into full force by December 1st  2010 for chemical substances and by June 1st  2015 for mixtures.  The new Regulation will replace the current system of classification and labelling, based on Directive CE 67/548. All the substances previously classified are included in the Annex VI of Regulation CLP.  The European Community has already issued the I ATP (1st Adaptation to Technical and Scientific Progress), which was included in the databank as well.
